John Mann MP visited the Olympic site this week which is ahead of schedule, environmentally efficient and the biggest construction effort in Europe.

Visiting the site, John Mann MP said, "What an achievement to be ahead of schedule at this point! I for one, hope they keep up the excellent work.

"It was an honour to visit the site in such early development; it is impressive to see the latest technology and techniques at work. The Olympics for Britain is a major achievement and I look forward its eventual success.

I am now thinking of ways that Bassetlaw can benefit directly from such infrastructure and sporting success."
