The 2010 search is on for the best South Asian restaurant in the country. The winning restaurant will receive the Tiffin Cup which is awarded every year by the Tiffin Club of MP's.

This competition is now in its fifth year and MP's are being asked to nominate a local South Asian restaurant. John Mann needs Bassetlaw residents help with this and is asking them to nominate their favourite local South Asian restaurant and he will put forward the one receiving the most nominations to be judged for the Tiffin Cup.

The aim of the competition is not only to applaud good quality South Asian food but it will also raise much needed money for charity. This year the competition is in aid of the charity "World Vision".

John Mann said "there are a growing number of South Asian restaurants in this area and this is a mouth-watering opportunity to promote good Bassetlaw restaurants at a national level. I have only had the opportunity to sample to a small number of them so I am totally reliant on the views of local residents. But no doubt, I will have to pay a visit to the restaurant with the most nominations so that I can personally vouch for its quality and good food".
