MP Says No to Lords Ban: They should Resign

Following the recommendation by the Lords Privileges and Conduct Committee that Lord Taylor and Lord Hanningfield should be suspended until next June and May respectively, Bassetlaw MP, John Mann has responded by calling for their resignation.

Mann said "these two people have served prison sentences for fiddling their expenses. This was tax payers money.  They can no longer be regarded as honourable people with a permanently reserved seat in the House of Lords.  Both Lord Taylor and Lord Hanningfield should voluntarily give up their peerages.  And if they don’t they should be stripped of them"
