Bassetlaw residents are being phoned up by an organisation calling themselves Tucan who are claiming that they represent the Government. They are advising people that they have paid too much interest on their credit cards and loans and they are able to recover this if they pay them an up front fee of £250.
This organisation sounds very convincing on the phone and research on the internet shows that many people from across the country have been fooled by Tucan and have been unable to get their money refunded.
Commenting on this latest scam, John Mann said "this is not the way the Government operates. Don't allow yourself to be fooled no matter how persuasive these scammers are. If anyone receives a similar call phone me before making any financial commitment and I will be more than happy to check them out for you".
If anyone has already found themselves in this situation John Mann is offering his assistance to try and get their money back.
John Mann added "organisations like these need to be pursued, exposed and hung out to dry. I will do whatever I can to help with this".
John Mann can be contacted for assistance (details here).
