The police hold a database of the DNA taken from people who are held in police custody.
Information from this database has been used to resolve some horrific crimes. There has recently been calls for the DNA database to be expanded and store the DNA of all UK residents. Do you support this proposal?

Member of Parliament for Harworth Colliery Welcomes News

John Mann MP for Bassetlaw was delighted to hear UK Coal's announcement today that Harworth Colliery are investigating plans to re-open the colliery. He said "Harworth without a pit has been difficult to get used to, so I am delighted that UK Coal are now re-considering. With up to 150 jobs being created this is great news for the village and local business. I saw Malcolm Wicks, the Energy Minister two weeks ago on this very issue and if UK Coal needs any assistance I am very willing to offer my help."
