   About Early Day Motions

Early Day Motions (or EDMs) are a kind of petition that Members of Parliament can choose to sign to show their support on a particular issue.

Members of Government (for instance, the Prime Minister, other Ministers and Private Parliamentary Secretaries) do not normally sign EDMs, and they are not always the best was to get things done. You can read more about EDMs in the Parliament website here: http://www.parliament.uk/about/how/business/edms.cfm

You can also search the database of EDMs, including all the ones John has signed and submitted, here: http://edmi.parliament.uk/EDMi/Default.aspx

Not all the EDMs that John Mann has signed or submitted are shown here.
