Should 16 and 17 year olds be allowed to vote?

Do you think they should be allowed to vote in all elections, or just local? Do young people know enough, or is it wrong to have taxation without representation?

And if you haven't seen it already, you can fill in my survey on votes at 16.

If you can leave school then pay taxes and join the Armed Services then why should young people not be given the vote. However, I don't think currently schools teach enough on political issues for young people to make a more informed choice when voting, so this must be addressed before we do anything.

well, if we can leave school and pay taxes then i think we should be able to have a say in how what we pay for is run, i.e. have the vote. so im definitely for the vote at 16!
