Bassetlaw District Council recently turned down an application to build a new community sports stadium (providing a Worksop home for Worksop Town Football Club), and 1000 new jobs in a new supermarket and industrial units on the old Vesuvius site, near the A60/A57. The Council's decision came despite officers (council employees qualified in planning) advising them to accept the application.
John Mann is campaigning to have the decision overturned.
