John was delighted to join local County Councillors at the opening of a brand new purpose built centre for young people with learning difficulties. The Holles Street short
breaks service offers a home from home for adults with learning disabilities for a few days or weeks and means their families can enjoy a little time off from the responsibilities of being
carers.
John Mann MP commented "This was a piece of derelict waste ground that attracted drug users and those involved in anti-social behaviour. I am delighted that the County Council have made
positive use of this land as the Holles Street Centre will not only help many people and their families but it has also greatly improved the area, making it a better place to live."
